Wholesale Lot

I'm trying to start a small business out of my home and I've been looking at wholesale lots online that would be perfect to add to my merchandise to resell, but every time i bid on a certain lot, the bids just get higher priced and higher... So i get outbid and have to look for diff. products.
What can i do? is there just a wholesale company that i can buy lots from instead of bidding for the lots? If anyone knows of other websites that offer this kind of service, please reply. Thanks!
