What parts can be salvaged from 2 dead laptops?

I have a Sony Vaio and a Toshiba Satellite laptop that are both dead. They have both suffered the same ill fate, a burnt out mother board. Anyway I was wondering what if anything can be salvaged from them besides the harddrives and ram (which have already been removed from both computers). Thanks!
I'm looking to either keep the parts for myself (although I did just buy myself an HP Pavillion DV7-1270 CA) or to sell them off for cash.
Would it be better to sell of the complete laptops or sell off the individual parts?

You should be able to salvage the optical drives (If they have optical drives.)

You can also remove the screens and sell them on ebay. Some people are always looking for replacement screens.

Other than that, not much is worth salvaging. Perhaps the WiFi adapter if you feel like it.
